Tile Replacement
Cracked or missing tiles let water in. We match the color and lock them down properly.
We replace individual tiles on your roof rather than tearing off the whole thing. If you've got a few broken Spanish tiles, a cracked clay piece, or tiles that have come loose in Santa Ana's wind, we pull out the bad ones and install matching replacements. It's faster and cheaper than a full reroof, and we handle the whole job from start to finish.
Santa Ana heat and the occasional Santa Ana wind can crack tiles and loosen the nails that hold them. We inspect the surrounding tiles to make sure they're solid, then remove the damaged ones carefully so we don't disturb the underlayment. We source tiles that match your roof's color and profile, then set them with new fasteners and seal everything properly so water doesn't get in.
You get a crew that shows up on time, works clean, and doesn't leave you with a mess. We haul away the old tiles, do a final walkthrough with you to make sure everything looks right, and answer any questions about maintenance. Most jobs take a day or two depending on how many tiles need replacing.
What's included: Inspection of the damaged area and surrounding tiles; Removal of broken or missing tiles; Matching replacement tiles installed and sealed; New fasteners and underlayment repair if needed; Cleanup and haul-away of old materials.
Tile Replacement — FAQ
How do you match my existing roof tiles?
We look at your tile's color, shape, and age, then source replacements from suppliers who stock standard Spanish and clay tiles. If your roof is older or custom, we may need to special order, which takes a week or two. We'll show you samples before we order.
Will the new tiles look different from the old ones?
New tiles are usually brighter than old ones that have weathered. Over a few months of sun exposure, they'll blend in. If that bothers you, we can discuss distressing options or you can wait for them to age naturally.
How long does tile replacement take?
A typical job with five to ten tiles takes one day. Larger areas with twenty or more tiles might take two days. We'll give you a timeframe when we give you the estimate.
